Canada’s need for new immigrants has been on the American NBC News. Normally, you’d think this is a wonderful thing. And it has its good and bad points. Let’s take a few minutes to do a high-level analysis of this news and what it means for prospective new Canadians.
The Good Points
- Canada’s reputation as a immigration destination strong: When Canada is in the news in the USA and other countries and the reports are speaking about Canada’s immigration policies in a positive manner, then Canada is doing well.
- Buzz being created: When the talk starts to build in the mainstream media about how open Canada is then a buzz begins building up and that is free exposure for Canada.
- Bigger candidate pool: When more people begin to hear the buzz about Canada, then there is a better chance of more people being interested in coming to Canada to get a better life.
With all that said, it seems very positive and a promising outlook for those of us in the immigration field. Yes, everyone from immigration consultants, to service providers for new immigrants, and even local businesses can benefit from the greater desire to enter Canada.
The only bad point is that there will be much more competition for the average applicant who desires to come to Canada. And for those who decide to do the paperwork on their own, the risks of mistakes leading to lengthy delays are also present. But my message is always positive about Canada. If you’re thinking of a new adventure, think of Canada because you definitely won’t be disappointed.
